Education leadership at scale

From curriculum design to operational delivery

At Teesside University I led the Computing Masters Project across multiple intakes and delivery locations, coordinating supervisors and markers, research ethics, assessment, moderation, academic integrity and reassessment. Redesign of delivery, supervision and assessment contributed to module satisfaction above 90%.

CyberSafeAI North East

As Project Lead / PI, I led development of a 60-credit Level 7 professional-practice PGCert centred on AI safety, AI security, governance and responsible deployment, connecting academic learning with employer-defined challenges, professional projects, work-integrated learning and placements.

Partner ecosystem: Digital Safety CIC leads placement support; CyberNorth and Digital Safety engage SMEs and companies through workshops, seminars, networking and employer talks, with NEBRC supporting employer engagement and placement opportunities.

CyberPathway

As PI, I led programme design, partner coordination, delivery oversight, quality assurance, trainer sourcing and risk management for a hybrid cybersecurity skills programme targeting underrepresented groups and SME staff.

The programme trained 30 participants across three cohorts, created reusable learning resources and an e-learning platform retained for CPD, and incorporated CyberNorth industry engagement. A subcontractor withdrawal was handled through re-sourcing trainer support and replanning delivery.

External delivery collaboration

Skillset & CyberPathway

CyberPathway required active management of external trainers, subcontractors and regional stakeholders. The delivery model combined conceptual input with coached practical labs and Cyber Essentials-aligned professional practice. Skillset Ltd formed part of the replacement delivery collaboration in the project history.

Healthcare collaboration

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

My research network includes collaboration and proposal activity around AI and healthcare systems, providing a route for translating trustworthy AI, intelligent sensing and secure decision-support research into high-stakes healthcare contexts.

Regional innovation ecosystem

Digital Safety CIC & CyberNorth

These collaborations connect university research and education with regional employers, SMEs and communities. Digital Safety provides an applied setting for trustworthy, human-centred AI, while CyberNorth links skills, professional engagement and the wider North East cyber ecosystem.

Current curriculum

King's College London

Teaching and module leadership across Distributed Ledgers and Crypto-Currencies, MSc Cyber Security Individual Project and Information Ethics, spanning specialist cybersecurity education, project-based learning, online adaptation and responsible technology.

Leadership approach

My strongest leadership work sits where academic quality, technical expertise and external delivery meet: building structures that allow research, education and partners to produce something usable beyond the university.
